2025 FALL BALL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Last Updated July 13, 2025

Please read all of the information below; if you have additional questions afterward, please send an email to [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you! - Marysville Little League

What is Fall Ball?

Fall Ball is focused on development by putting the FUN in fundamentals! Coaches will work with players to teach proper mechanics and form, assist those who wish to try something new, and to most of all - have a great time while doing so.

It is a shortened season (practices begin mid-August with games in September & October) designed to offer new players an opportunity to try out baseball or softball alongside experienced players who wish to refine their skills, try a new position, or just gain more reps. It's also the best time to play with your friends; we accept teammate and coach requests at all levels (although these requests are not guaranteed.)

Which Divisions are offered in Fall Ball?

Fall Ball has more limited divisions as there as less players who participate overall.  Games are played against teams from Marysville when available, as well as other teams within District 1 Snohomish Little League (our parent organization.) This data is not always available when we open registration, so Marysville uses past registration numbers and participation to make an educated guess on which divisions to offer.

In 2025, we decided to offer registration only for teams with a Head Coach already confirmed. Roster positions are first-come, first-serve. Ultimately, we must have opponents in order to play games, so all registration is subject to interleague opponent availability.

Our goal is to accommodate as many players as possible in their selected Divisions; however, some players may be asked to play in a different Division as it aligns with their League Age, roster balance and experience.

While Marysville Little League does everything possible to accommodate our players, it is sometimes necessary to make changes to registration. As such, Division and Roster Placement is NOT guaranteed.

In 2025, we are registering for the following divisions and teams:

Majors Baseball - 1-2 teams (Two Head Coaches Confirmed)
AAA Baseball - 1 team (TBD based on opponent availability / players registered)
AA Baseball - 1 team (TBD based on opponent availability / players registered)
Majors Softball - 1-2 teams  (Two Head Coaches Confirmed)
AAA Softball - 1 team (TBD based on opponent availability / players registered)
AA Softball - 1 team (TBD based on opponent availability / players registered)

We may also offer Softball Juniors and Baseball Intermediate; registration for these Divisions will be based on information obtained in the next week or two. Stay tuned for more information!

Who can play Fall Ball - and which Division should I choose?

New and Experienced Players are WELCOME and ENCOURAGED in Fall Ball!

Marysville Little League offers baseball to all players, while softball is limited to female players only.

Players ranging from League Age 8 through League Age 12 are eligible for Fall Ball rosters. To determine your player's League Age, please use the Little League Age Calculator. Please note that the calculations are different between baseball and softball, so be sure to select the correct sport.

Some players will qualify for more than one Division based on their age; we encourage players who are new to the sport to register in the lower of the Divisions listed and those who are experienced to choose the Division that best matches their current skill set.

Players who are League Age 7 AND have completed a previous season in Rookies or AA/89ers may be eligible to play Fall Ball.
Players who are League Age 12 as of Spring Season are eligible to play Majors in Fall Ball with limitations on pitching.
Players who are League Age 6 and under are not eligible for Fall Ball.

When does Registration open and close for Fall Ball?

Registration opens on July 14th at 10:00 am.

Registration will remain open until team(s) are full (14 players per team) and will extend to waitlisting after that point. Registration will close when teams are filled OR by August 10th, whichever comes first.

Once a roster is full, players will be able to waitlist for that team/division.

Waitlisted players who are added to a roster are activated based on first-come, first-serve status. You will only be contacted when a roster position opens; you will receive an email from SportsConnect and have 48 hours to pay in full to hold your spot.

What is covered with my Registration Fee?

Players will be assigned to a roster/team and will complete practices ahead of games beginning in early September. Most teams will have 2-3 events per week (practices and games combined).

All players will receive a jersey; baseball players will be issued a snapback style hat and softball players will receive a hairbow. The remainder of their uniform will be purchased and supplied by the player/family.

What will I need to provide for my player's uniform?

Players will need to complete their uniform - including black pants, colored belt and colored socks. All players will need need to wear molded cleats and/turf shoes (no metal cleats permitted.) Often, players will also wear long sleeved undershirts when the weather gets cooler; black undershirts/compression style garments are preferred. Players should avoid wearing anything that is baggy (such as oversized hoodies) or coats when playing.

Additional Uniform Info & Size Charts - CLICK HERE

Baseball: Black Baseball Pants (full length, mids or kicker style pants acceptable), Colored Belt (all), Colored Socks (if visible under pants/style dependent.)

Softball: Black Softball Pants, Colored Socks and Belt

Once players have been assigned to their team, they will be notified which color socks/belts will be worn. Links to these items will be provided for purchase (through our Amazon Smile account for your convenience); however, items can be purchased through any means / players are not required to use the link.

What equipment will I need to provide?

Players will need a glove, batting helmet, bat & cleats or turf shoes (no metal spikes.) If your player is new to the sport, we recommend purchasing these items used (or borrowing from a friend/family member) as the cost of equipment can quickly add up.

If the cost of equipment is a barrier to your player's ability to join, please contact us for assistance.
