In 2026, there are many new processes in place at the national and local levels with regard to volunteers.

Background Checks:
Beginning 10/01/2025, Little League Baseball has made a change to the way that background checks are processed on a national level. All volunteers must register through SportsConnect. Once registration is complete, our Safety Officer will initiate each background check manually. Once the background check has been sent via email, you will have 14 days to submit your information. Once the 14 day mark has passed, the process to reissue involves additional administrative efforts (including contacting SportsConnect) so we ask that you please complete your background check on time.
Prospective Coaches:
All prospective Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches shall complete the 2026 Coaching Application by January 10, 2026. This includes those who wish to enter coaching for the first time AND those who have previously coached within Marysville Little League.
